Hello and Welcome! I am so excited to be a part of the My Monthly Hero Blog Hop this month! Hero Arts has always been a favorite company of mine since I began stamping so to create again with one of the My Monthly Hero Kits was so much fun!
This month's kit has some great family themed sets and dies! The kit is available for a limited time only - once it's gone, it's gone. Kits begin shipping from Hero Arts on Friday May 11. You can now subscribe to receive the kit monthly and never miss one! The kit value is over $70......but only costs $34.99. Once this kit is gone, it's gone!

There is SO much to offer this month, I have so many ideas to do with this kit and the add-ons! I created 3 cards but I am starting out with the stamp set that makes up the core kit, the silhouettes!
I started by creating my background using the new Ombre Reactive Spring Day ink that is part of the add-ons this month. I simply used the ink pad by swiping the blue side halfway up on a piece of cardstock and repeating the same thing with the green portion of the ink pad. I sprayed my panel with a fine water mist and dabbed up the water. I die cut the oval silhouette in white, added foam adhesive over the entire back, and layered it over my ombre inked background. I stamped my sentiment in black ink right at the horizon. To finish I added the stamped and die cut girl swinging silhouette and added her with foam adhesive.
**********************************
My second card uses the add on stamp set and die called Besties Stamp & Cut. I made this knowing I'm giving this to my husband later this month for our 22nd anniversary!
I started by scoring a white notecard on each side by 1/2 inch to create a frame. Using the small leaf stamp in the set, I stamped it in the open rectangle in the center using Hero Arts Soft Brown Shadow Ink. With foam adhesive I added a stamped and die cut wood heart using the same ink but stamping the sentiment in the center with Hero Arts Black Dye Ink.
**********************************
One last CAS card using the Tree Stencil from the core kit. Using Distress Oxide inks, I blended the colors through the stencil and spritzed it generously with water. After stamping 2 sentiments from the Family Portrait stamp set (an add on set), I added a simple thin black cardstock frame and a few gems.
