Is anyone else ready for spring? I am so tired of the snow, the cold, the winter coats, etc, etc.
I think my kids are ready for some warm weather too! My son keeps saying he's going outside to play basketball.....um, no....it's 30 degrees!!!
Anyway, I'm here with my Guest Designer post for the Sweet Stamp Shop which you can see on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog!! I was very honored to be chosen this month as one of the designers!
Thank you Nicole Rixon for the sweet opportunity to work with your designs this month!
I have a couple of cards today using some of the newest releases.......Nesting and Distressed Chevron. Let me say first, that I didn't have any SSS stamps prior to this gig......so that being said, this design process was a bit hard for me and made me really think "outside the box" when it came to sentiments, layouts, etc. However, I feel like I still created cards that were ME.
On with the show!!
I'm going to show off the Distressed Chevron background. My first card uses the background simply by stamping it on a card front with white pigment ink. Oh the ink coverage is amazing! (see supply list below) Then I added on a speech bubble veneer from Freckled Fawn.
My next card uses Distressed Chevron background to make my own pattern paper. Here I stamped the background onto paper and then die cut my little animals from it for a sweet baby card!
My final card uses the set called Nesting. Who doesn't like those little Nesting families? Cute little sentiments in this set too! I actually **gasp** cut my sentiment apart and out of the frame it came in to achieve this sentiment layout......but I like! :)
**I had a very hard time getting this card photographed to get my sentiment in focus...sorry!**

Well, thank you all so much for all your lovely comments on my blog lately......you all certainly know how to make a girl smile!

You did such a wonderful job with these. They're GREAT!
ReplyDeleteThese turned out wonderfully! You never would have known that you were short on sentiments. My favorite is your first one, the hello card! I love how you used the background for the baby card too. I also think it's great how you showed just part of the dolls bodies on the last card! Great work!
ReplyDelete*Love* these cards Amy - they are definitely 'you'!! The baby card is so cute and sweet, but my oh my have I fallen head over heels with that distressed chevron - both the stamp and your card! Wow!!
ReplyDeleteThese are all super cute! LOVE that baby card...it's adorable! The distressed chevron background on that first one is pretty fab too!
ReplyDeleteI love these! That first one is so fun, but I LOVE the second one and how you used the chevron on the animals, so cute! And of course the doll card is adorable!
ReplyDeleteLoving those cute little animals - that card is adorable! & the masking technique for the nesting sentiment is a great idea... I found that nesting set very difficult to use.
