PDCC80 & CPS217

As soon as I saw the colors for this week's Play Date Cafe challenge, I knew I wanted to play along.  However, time isn't on my side lately and I'm almost late to the party on this challenge.  I also combined it with the CPS sketch for this week as well (I did take the liberty to "adjust" it a bit!).  Paper Smooches is the sponsor of both......great idea to use my Friendly Flowers stamp set!!  The colors on this card just make me want to sing that song....feeling "Hot Hot Hot", drink a margarita, and be back on a cruise!  (it's been so hot here in Kansas the past few days....makes me long for a beach!)

I colored my sentiment and my flowers using Copics.  I kinda like the flowers not "all" colored in.....Yes, I meant to not color them in.  :)  Have a wonderful day!

  2. Such a great take on both challenges, Amy! LOVE what you've done with the gradient effect on the sentiment! And gracious! I know what you mean about the heat! Why do we always seem to have such short falls and springs? Anyway, thanks so much for playing along with us this week at The Play Date Cafe, girl!

So I must admit that I read your comment, and thought, Denver is near Kansas? LOL! I checked the map -- and realized I should refresh my geography! It was beautiful out there!

  22. Hi miss lady!! Great card, love it!! ps: the sun I used on my sailing card is the sun from the same set from WD. LOL I just stamped it yellow then cut it out and colored in the whole thing instead of leaving the gap between the sun and the rays. :) :) :) Hope you have a great weekend!! HUGS!
