Hello! I am so glad to be here to share some inspiration using the new line.... Inked Messages by Stephanie Low for Spellbinders. You should have arrived here from the sweet Rubeena's blog HERE but if not, I have an entire blog hop list at the bottom of my post.
My first card uses the gorgeous rose from A Rose by Any Other Name. I white heat embossed the image on Bristol Smooth Watercolor Paper and colored in using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
Now while this set does have a coordinating die, I decided to do some selective fussy cutting of my image. Once trimmed out, I added some darker flicks of color to the leaves and petals. I added this to a white notecard that was scored every 1/2 inch from the bottom. This gave a perfect straight spot to stamp a sentiment.
****************************
My second card uses the large bloom from Bloom Where You are Planted. I black heat embossed the blooms and again colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Using the coordinating die, the blooms were all die cut and clear gems added to the centers.
For my background, I wanted to create "frames" for my groupings of blooms. Using the Standard Circles Etched Dies from Spellbinders, I impressed some of the circle dies into my cardstock panel. My blooms were added along with the "bloom" sentiment and some clear gems.
**Giveaway**
To celebrate this release, we are giving away a $50 gift certificate to a lucky winner. Please leave a comment on Spellbinders blog by Sunday, August 19th 11:59 pm EDT for a chance to win. The winner will be announced in the blog hop post the following Tuesday. Winner is responsible for shipping cost, duties and taxes.

Absolutely gorgeous!! Love both of your designs (been wanting to try the scored lines as I think it's such a fabulous look!).
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, they seem to be simple, but not simple if that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteYour project is beautiful. Love the scored lines effect. Definitely going to give it a try. Thanks for sharing your talents with all of us.
ReplyDeleteI like how you added the lines. It looks like a message board.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, Amy! Love the scored lines on the first one and the embossed circles on the second.
ReplyDeleteI am sitting here looking at a floral spray that I colored just for fun and fussy cut (because my background did NOT turn out well). And now I know how I want to use it. Your designs are beautiful, just enough interest in the background to let the focal image shine. Thanks so much.
