Hello and Welcome! I found Krumspring Stamps (based out of Denmark) last fall on Instagram and fell in love with their unique designs (especially For my Caveman). Fast forward a bit......Maria was generous enough to sponsor the Stamping Away Weekend I co-hosted last fall. Fast forward to present.....Maria is now celebrating the 1st Anniversary of Krumspring Stamps and I am here to help celebrate my sweet friends milestone!!! Thank you so much for including me in your special celebration! ♥♥
The Krumspring Stamps celebraton just released 8 new stamp sets that went on sale yesterday! There's a blog hop to celebrate the 1st anniversary so let's get started because the lineup of designers will blow you away!
The first set is just Elefanastic! Seriously though, this set is small and mighty! In true fashion with other stamp sets in the Krumspring Shop, the elephant image is faceted. I started with heat embossing the elephant in Liquid Platinum embossing powder from Ranger. I colored the facets in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a waterbrush and fussy cut him out. I adhered the image to a trimmed panel that was Distress Oxide blended to ground my image. A thin strip of coordinating Washi tape was added down the left side. I added some gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh along with the sentiments that were also embossed wtih Liquid Platinum. This whole panel was adhered to a notecard that was prepped by heat embossing the Diagonal Stripes background also in Liquid Platinum.

My next card uses another small set called I Love your Melons! haha If you haven't read the product descriptions on the store site, please do so! Maria shares something unique about each set!
Summer is not over yet especially if there are Watermelons to eat! I just love the sentiments included in this set!
I stamped the watermelons in Basil and Mojito pigment inks from Impress Cards. Using very watered down Distress Oxide in Broken China, I loosely watercolored around all the melons and added some flicks of color as well. Once the panel was dry, I added some tiny dots around all of the watermelons. A simple sentiment was stamped and added with foam adhesive along with some sequins from the Friendship Mix from Pretty Pink Posh. To finish, I added the panel to a notecard that had one strip of color down either side for interest.

ReplyDeleteLove your cards. The melons are so pretty green and the elephant is absolutely fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI am shedding a tear after seeing your card. I brought home a watermelon the other day, and when I went to cut it, it had disintegrated into a soupy mass of foul smell. (In my favorite shopping bag too! ) I totally agree with the sentiment, which is why I was so disappointed. This is the only time it's ever happened to me in just a few days. Thanks so much,
ReplyDeleteThe watermelon card is just the summer-spirit and the elephant 🐘... I would not have been thinking of using those colors, but the result are truly beautiful...
