The Ton's Spring 2017 Release Blog Hop

Fresh Cut Sunflowers

Hello!  I am so excited to help The Ton with their new Spring Release along with this amazing lineup of designers!  The Ton has 18 new stamps for their new Spring 2017 Release which includes up to three free gifts with purchases. For more information on The Ton’s incentive gifts, head over to The Ton’s blog.  All new release products are available now!

I could not let this release go by without getting to use these GORGEOUS Fresh Cut Sunflowers.  Being from the Sunflower State (Kansas), these stamps were for sure coming to my house!

I stamped my entire panel with the large sunflower and smallest leaf.  Using 3 shades of each color, you can achieve the depth of these flowers.  It was amazing to watch the flowers come to life as I stamped and laid down each layer of color!  I kept this simple otherwise, mounting it with foam adhesive onto a dark brown cardstock and a simple white heat embossed sentiment--perfect for this card!

Wishful Wildflowers

I fell in love with the Wishful Wildflowers set as soon as I saw it!  I started with a panel of Tim Holtz watercolor paper and white heat embossed all the images.  Using Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Broken China, Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, and Shabby Shutters, I loosely watercolored my images going back a few times adding some more shading for color.  For my sentiment, I white heat embossed a sentiment from Sunflower Bouquet onto a strip of vellum.  I then wrapped my vellum sentiment strip over a piece of light grey cardstock and added some clear sequins.
