Hello.....I'm so excited to be helping Concord & 9th celebrate their birthday TODAY during their month long Birthday Bash Blog Hop! Every day throughout the month of August, Concord & 9th invited guests to showcase their favorite products! Today is also release day of all their newest products.....I know I will be shopping!
Make sure to read on because one of my followers that comments below will win a $20 gift card to the Concord & 9th store!
One of my favorite Concord & 9th stamp sets is the Wildflower stamp set. The open images are just perfect for some loose watercoloring. I've white heat embossed my images onto watercolor paper. With a No.2 waterbrush from Tim Holtz, I watercolored my images wtih Distress Inks (Salty Ocean, Abandoned Coral, Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade, and Carved Pumpkin). Around my images, I watercolored Tumbled Glass to soften the look. The sentiment was stamped using the Layers of Love stamp set and a die cut "wonderful", from Wonderful Words dies, was added with black glitter cardstock.

I have a set of encouragement cards to share using the Happy Hues Card/Envelope Pack. These already watercolored and scored cards are perfect for creating quick and easy cards. I paired them with the "You've got this" die done in black glitter cardstock.
A trick for lining all those word pieces up? Use the NEGATIVE and some washi tape for easy placement! As soon as you have all the pieces glued into place, simply remove the negative!
Concord & 9th has some fabulous promotions to celebrate their first birthday this month.....to see them all, click HERE! One of them is that they are offering a $20 gift card to one of my followers! Wahoo! Especially since today is RELEASE day for Concord & 9th!
Just leave me a comment below and I'll pick a winner on August 15th!
Great idea Amy! I love using the negative for an extra card.
ReplyDeleteThoroughly smitten with your showcase of the Wildflower set, which I'm thrilled to have in my rapidly-expanding Concord & 9th collection. I find water-colouring challenging (I know it should be easy, but...just can't get the 'look' to my liking), so seeing your version has sparked ideas. "You've got this," in glitter, on the pre-water-coloured cards:so pretty! Thank you for the inspiration!
