Welcome to the Watercolor Blog Hop with Pretty Pink Posh! Watercoloring is so HOT right now in papercrafting and I *might* be a little addicted to it!! ☺ There are so many mediums for watercoloring but my absolute favorite are Distress Inks.
I started with a piece of watercolor paper and the "smooshing" technique of Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, and Ripe Persimmon. Over this, I sprayed some Pure Color Shimmer Mist (from WPlus9). Oh this technique takes a watercolored panel to a whole other level!!! With this panel, I diecut a butterfly from Life is Beautiful (Papertrey Ink) and embellished with 4mm Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. My butterfly was layered onto a diecut panel from Stitched Duo3 by Pretty Pink Posh.
My panel was layered onto a Distress Ink Splattered card base using the same colors as the butterfly and I mixed in some more of that shimmer spray to keep the shimmer theme going throughout the card. Finally, 4mm Pumpkin and 4mm Pink Peonies Sequins were added randomly by dropping them and adhering.
Now, for more details on the Blog Hop starting tomorrow!
