AEi♥U Challenge: Watercolor (using watercolor crayons)

Welcome to my first post as part of the amazing team for Avery Elle's AEiU Challenges!!
April's challenge is one of my favorites.....watercolor!  There are so many mediums for doing this challenge.  Have fun!

I have had watercolor crayons FOREVER and were literally the first watercolor medium I purchased when I started stamping so so many years ago.  I've used the Fabulous Florals stamps along with my crayons for a fun look.  To create this look, it works best with solid florals.  Simply color directly onto the stamp and lightly spritz with water.  Now, you will want to practice some to figure out how much water is too much.  I did this to create my floral collage in the lower right corner.

After stamping my floral collage, I stamped my sentiment, from Get Well, over the top of my watercolored florals using Versafine Black.  You get crisp sentiments every time!

There are two $25 Avery Elle Gift Certificates up for grabs for the two best entries, so what do you have to lose?! You have until April 26, 2015 to link up your take on the challenge!

Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me!

  4. I love the watercolor crayons. I've tried gelatos with stamping, but never the crayons. Must try that. Love your card.
