School Time with My Favorite Things!

I'm back with another Release Countdown post for My Favorite Things!  Today's sets are just perfect for going back to school and for making cute kid cards.

NewReleaseCountdown_Day6

First up today is a card using the new Birdie Brown Class Act stamp set and Die-namics.  Now, I am the first one to admit that I don't color but I did break out my Copics for this adorable image!  I don't think I did too bad......I just need to watch some shading tutorials!  Let me know what you think!

Let's start with that background.......it's the new Jumbled Letters stencil.  I sponged some white pigment ink over the stencil onto Steel Grey cardstock from MFT for a chalkboard effect.  Now, how about that pencil background?  I stamped the pencil image from the Birdie Brown Class Act stamp set in a pattern onto yellow cardstock.

I used the Pierced Circle Stax to cut out my circles and then used the circle frame die from Blueprints 16 to cut the circle border from Electric Red cardstock.  The sentiment, "You Did It" was white heat embossed onto the red circle frame curving it a bit.  Here is a close-up of my coloring:

I have one more project for you using this cute cute Lunchbox Die-namics from Laina Lamb Design.  There are so many detail dies that are included in this set!  You can embellish your little lunchbox however you'd like!

I decided to make my lunchbox the focal point of my card.  The background was stamped randomly with stars from Packed with Positivity stamp set in dark grey ink.  My lunchbox was diecut using Nightshift Blue and Electric Red cardstock from MFT.  I diecut all my accent pieces out of silver foil paper and assembled.  The sentiment, from Packed with Positivity stamp set, was white heat embossed.

I think this will make a perfect 'tween' card for my son......ya know, because he started Middle School this year.  Hormones, new school, new friends.......I just want him to know that "You're Doing Great"!
