Reverse Confetti August Blog Hop!

8.8.14

Hey there, Reverse Confetti fans!
It’s the 8th of the month and time for another sizzling Blog Hop from the Confetti Crew and a few other friends.  Summer is still in full swing so this is a good excuse to stay inside out of the heat and recharge your batteries with us!  We’ll give you a minute to grab a glass of lemonade as we hop along together and share some crafty goodness with you!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Jessica's blog.  It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all of Reverse Confetti’s amazing stamp sets!

I visited Hobby Lobby the other day and low and behold.........tons of Halloween (and Christmas too) decor.  In my opinion.....it's too early for that but needless to say, it got me in the mood to pull out my Reverse Confetti Halloween stamps for today's blog hop theme:  creating your own BACKGROUND paper from Reverse Confetti stamps!

I know my fearless leader doesn't do "technique" but I dabble and this is one of my favorites.....emboss resist.  Magic just happens when I do this technique!  I started by heat embossing images from Spooky Cuties in black embossing powder on white cardstock.  I then blended in several Distress Inks across my panel until I achieved the colors I wanted.  To give it some shimmer, I spritzed my panel with Vanilla Smooch Spritz......seriously love that stuff!

My sentiment from Spooky Sentiments was stamped in black StazOn and colored with Copics on the BACK side of the vellum tag from Tag Me!  I love the look of coloring outside the lines!
