Hello! Some big news........how exciting is it that I'm guesting for the My Favorite Things blog today? I can hardly believe it! I got to play with some amazing Die-namics and stamps. With school having just started for my kids, I thought I'd use the Red Delicious Die-namics and pair them with the Peek-a-Boo Alphabet Uppercase Die-namics for a teacher card.
I die cut the letters onto a black cardstock panel and gently rubbed white ink on with my finger to get that chalkboard effect. The red delicious apple, which was die cut with Electric Red and Gumdrop Green cardstock, was added to the card front with foam adhesive. A small banner was die cut using Blueprints 16 and stamped with a sentiment from Just the Way you Are. For that final touch, a button from MFT was stitched into place using crochet thread.
I am quite the fan of shaped cards and the Red Delicious Die-namics is a perfect size to make them! I die cut my apple image with more Electric Red and Gumdrop Green cardstock along with the Pee-a-Boo Alphabet Uppercase Die-namics. I made sure to place the white card base fold just under the cut line of the die so that I was left with a fold at the top after diecutting. This card will be perfect to add into a little gift or as a tag for a teacher this year!
I'm going to send this over to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge for : Back to School.
Lots of thanks go out to My Favorite Things for having me showcase their awesome products!
