Welcome to the December Edition of the 12 Kits of Holidays and it's my birthday!! Every single month we get goodies from the hostess for the month. So many new things arrive..... makes it so fun!!! ****I have to say that this group is such a fabulous group of ladies........caring, thoughtful, creative. I really could go on. So it is very hard but I'm sad to say that I have decided to step down. I have been on this group for 2 years once I finish this post! It has been so much FUN and I've enjoyed playing with new stamps, embellishments, papers, etc. that I may not have otherwise used. So with this being my last post......the incredible Jeanne Jachna is rejoining the group and is so excited!!!****
This month our kit was sent out by Jessica Davis. Jessica sent us so many goodies and she SPOILED us!!! Our package was FILLED with goodies....die cuts, STAMPS, pattern papers. Wow! Thank you so much Jessica!
November Kit

For my first card, I've used the adorable bird diecuts and branch from Lawn Fawn. With a little Copic coloring, the birds turned out so cute and paired them up with a stamped sentiment and twine!
My second card is probably my favorite. Don't we always have a favorite? I've used the poinsettia diecuts that were in the kit and layered them onto a woodgrain embossed panel from the kit. To make my leaves curl up a bit, I've just pressed on them with a rounded pen cap until I liked how they looked!
My last card uses a fabulous word diecut layered over some Copic colored trees from Paper Smooches! I'm sending this over to the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge this week because it's Anything Goes!

ReplyDeleteOh I love those little birdies in gray! The colored Smooches Christmas trees are adorable with the chevron paper and the die cut over the top. Your woodgrain card is perfectly you, I can see why it's your favorite. I will miss seeing your creations with the kits each month SO MUCH, but will be visiting to see your awesome creations anyways :)!

ReplyDeleteOh Amy...we will really miss you! You always make such beautiful cards, one's where I slap my head and wonder why I didn't think of that! This month was no exception...love the cute way you layered the Christmas die cut over the perfectly colored trees, and those sweet little birds with the subtle texturing on the white background. Why don's I ever think to round corners? See, you did it to me again. Happy New Year!

Amy, I love them all this month! I love how you curled up the leaves on the poinsettia... they look so much more realistic that way! And it looks great on the woodgrain :) The bird card is so my favorite, though, so peaceful, so gorgeous! The coloring on the trees with the cute Christmas word on the 3rd is fabby too :)

I am always incredibly inspired by your CAS and elegant designs with the supplies, and you've certainly gone out on a high note with this month's kit. Those little birds on a branch are the cutest! I love all of the white space like a snowy backdrop. Your poinsettia is gorgeous against the woodgrain texture, and your simple treatment of the die cut word in front of the trees is darling. Thank you for two wonderful years of inspiration as a part of the 12 Kits group!

What a beautiful collection of cards, I love that you coloured the bird inn grey (watch for me CASEing that, the pretty poinsettia on the woodgrain background and the way you want the word in the trees--LOVE it all! No this is far from the end for you and I--we will be together soon again. ;)
