Festive Friday Challenge!

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!!  I'm so excited to be here today sharing a card for the Festive Friday Challenge!  Thanks to the super sweet and super talented Meredith of A Delightful Waste of Time for inviting me to play along this week!!!

When I first took a look at the inspiration photo, I saw the obvious and then I kept thinking and thinking.  So ultimately I came back to my first thought of stockings hanging from a mantle.  I've used a fabulous new holiday die by Memory Box called Precious Stockings and die cut several stockings in fun colors.  I embellished with a tiny little button stamp from Wplus9 called Blanket Stitched Blooms.  The sentiment is from that stamp set as well (it is masked off).
You can get these products from i {heart} papers!!!

My background is an embossing folder that I've had for ages by Cuttlebug.  My friend, Wida from Beachorado, always ties the most beautiful flowing bows with twine.  This is my inner Wida at work here!  LOL  Thank you Wida!!  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

  2. Well I'm lovin' that 'old' embossing folder as a background for your bright and cheery stockings...they're adorable! Love this!!! So glad to have you with us at Festive Friday!! Sorry I haven't been around as much lately...as my kids get older and busier...it gets harder and harder to spend more than the bare minimum time blogging...especially in the summer! Hopefully things will settle a little now that they're back in school!

  5. How did I not even clue in to the brick pattern before? Some days I am just stunned... haha!!

I LOVED your interpretation of the inspiration, and I think stockings are the perfect element of Christmas for a kid's theme.

Thank you so much for being our guest this week, I am so happy that you said yes!!

  13. Your bow, the card, the whole thing is fantastic. Easy to mass produce for a Christmas card? I am so humbled that you mentioned me. I have not been to the craft room in so long, it's nice to be remembered.. Thank you friend :)
