Well Christmas is over but our 12 Kits of Christmas is NOT! We're going strong and yes we will be back in 2013!!! We have a few changes and we will announce those next month! Oh yeah, btw.....today is my birthday too! Nothing fancy planned....just work! :)
This month's goodies were sent by Sharron and you must go check out her blog: On Papillion Wings! This month was some gorgeous color and retro type patterns! This is where I went with my designs too! Just look at what Sharron sent this month!

This first card is my favorite! Don't you just love when an idea hits and just falls together? Well, this is how this card was born! I fell in LOVE with that snowflake paper and paired it with the Joy die cut and snowflake from Wplus9. The card shape is a Spellbinder die of my own: Wonky Rectangles.
My second card was one that while I was trying to figure out how to use this snowflake embossed panel (LOVE btw) Sharron sent, these die cuts were there together and walaa!! Look at that funky pattern paper!
My last card is my least favorite......but hey don't we all make some we like and some we don't? So I thought I would still share my "not so liked" card! LOL This one did not come out how I intended AT all. :)
Ah, the holiday is over and now I already have 3 cards for next year.....SCORE! Let's go see what the rest of the 12 Kits girls have for you this month!

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Amy! I love your cards and have to agree with you, your last card is my favorite, so peaceful and classy and that stitching on the edge is a wonderful touch! Your wonky rectangle card is just so fun with the embossing and the snowflake in the center of joy! So beautiful. Don't see what you don't like about it, but I do understand how you feel. All 3 cards are fabulous!

Wow Amy, that wonky rectangle is a great die to make a card with...love that shape, thought it was a pillow box at first glance. Love the woodgrain pattern on it. I also really love the simple touch of the three silver beats on your second card, love the different sizes. The banner with the sentiment looks great on your birch tree card. Love the red/white and aqua colors on it. Great job this month.

Happy Birthday again Amy! I love those Wonky rectangle dies and that card is perfect especially with the woodgrain. I love that blue patterned paper on your second card, it looks fantastic with the green tree. The two red birds in the birch trees are so cute. ReplyDeleteI tried to comment from my phone twice yesterday and it wouldn't let me through...I love all 3 of your cards! I don't know why you don't like the 3rd one, I think it so unique and pretty! The first one is my fave. I love the shape and how you put the snowflake on the die word! All are very pretty!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday! I hope you had a great one, despite having to work.
ReplyDeleteI adore your cards this month! The unique shape of the first one is fantastic, and the touch of woodgrain embossing frames it perfectly. And I'm surprised you don't like the last one--the red birds pop so beautifully against the aqua background. I just love those tree dies!
Happy Belated Birthday! I am a day late! Hope this year is full of blessings for you!
ReplyDeleteLove all 3 of your cards - even the last one which I think turned out lovely! Love red/aqua and white together. Just ordered the twine after seeing your link on the post after this one. Those are my FAVORITE colors and to see them in twine all together is so fun!
I digress though...love these 12 kits of Christmas posts - so fun to see all the beauty created by everyone!
