My friends.......Laurie, Jen, Eva, and Barb......are coming today for our Stamping Away weekend! We plan for these a couple of times a year and they are always soo much fun! I can NOT wait! My house is clean (thanks to my sweet hubby who had Merry Maids over the other day as a surprise!), laundry done, stamp room in order (this is never this way! LOL)......I'm all ready for them to arrive! We have some fun things planned........shopping in KC later today and then dinner at BoLings with some blog friends of ours........Jinny and Barbara! Can't wait to meet you girls! On the other hand, my blog may be silent for a few days but I'm sure I'll have lots to post after our weekend!
Well, I wanted to finally share some pictures with you from my trip to Boston. I had the opportunity to meet some of the sweetest gals......Suzanne, Jessica, and Christina. They share my love for crafting and stamping! We all met through our blogs! We enjoyed a nice chat while waiting to eat at one of the best places, The Cheesecake Factory. I have to be honest, I was a bit nervous to meet these girls in my hotel lobby but I had a fabulous time!! I am so glad that it worked with our schedules to meet.....I was determined to find a time that worked! :)
From left to right: Me, Jessica, Suzanne, and Christina
Suzanne and I know each other because we are on a blog group together, Papertrey Paper Dolls. You need to check out our blog and play along with our challenges! They remain open for anyone to play along!
Now, I have to show you some goodies that these gals came prepared to give! Oh my....I wish that I'd had more time to make something but I totally ran out of time. But look at what Christina made each of us......crocheted flowers!!! Oh my these are so beautiful! I can't wait to use them.....or wait, maybe I can't use them! LOL Such a sweet handmade gift.....Thanks Christina!
Finally, Jessica pulls out of her purse..........these!! This little favor it box came with a sweet treat too.....An Andes Mint brownie! That sure didn't last long! :) Jessica, thanks so much for thinking of us with these sweet little boxes!! I love all the details you poured into these.....the twill, courduroy button and that fun new stamp stamp set!
Thank you so much for meeting up with me while I was in Boston!! You all are so sweet!
You are such a doll, Amy, and I am so thankful that I had a chance to meet you! I hope you'll use your flowers, too, because I can always make more. *wink*
ReplyDeleteI hope you all have a fantastic time crafting and shopping this weekend! ((hugs))
How fun Amy!! Sounds like a great weekend with some amazingly talented ladies. Makes me want to jump in the car and head to Kansas. I'll be there in eight hours:) Have a blast!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Sara...
ReplyDeleteI just want to jump in my car and head out...
hubby can take care of the kids...
maybe?:)
I hope ya'll have a wonderful time...I know you will.
And Boston looked wonderful too...
having so much fun AND a maid?!
Can your hubby talk to love-of-my-life-man-that-I-married?
I want a maid...just for a day.
Of course...I'd have to clean before she got here because I'd be so nervous about her being here and feel guilty about her having to clean after the most destructive children ever to have been given life...
Have a wonderfully crafty weekend!:)
Thanks for the pics, Amy! Sounds like you had a great time meeting blog friends. Have fun this weekend! Wish I could join you. Maybe Sara can stop by on her way over! Can't wait to see what you make this weekend.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, you and Suzanne met, and now you are getting together for a fun weekend? Wow, have a blast for all of us Dolls!!! :-) It looks like you had so much fun and I know this weekend is going to be awesome! Take lots of pics!
ReplyDeleteYAY for Boston meetups! We definitely need more of those, because it was awesome meeting you. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip, Amy!!!
ReplyDeleteYou lucky gal! I have yet to find an 'addict' anywhere close to me! What a treat your husband gave you too!!! I need to start dropping some subtle hints. ;)
ReplyDeleteI do share the love for crafting and stamping. I actually travel around the world making it and selling it. Next month I´m going to Argentina. I already have an apartment for rent in buenos aires. I was told there is a square called Plaza Armenia where people exhibits their art and sell it.
ReplyDeleteI will do that!
