Today the DT is focusing on Wedding cards using this set. My first card uses the couple silhouette and I thought it would be perfect inside the larger frame from Simply Silhouettes from last month.
Do you see that gorgeous font on that mini tag? I just love how elegant it is! My tag was cut free hand and some mini hearts were stamped from the Ride Away With Me stamp set. I didn't have gems in an aqua color so I used my Copics to match them up! I'm going to send this over to the Moxie Fab World for the challenge that is still open: The Appearance of Cameos Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.
My next card uses one of my FAVORITE mediums to stamp with. WATERCOLOR CRAYONS. Yet, I don't pull them out very often but they sure are fun to use. Here I've colored on my rose silhouette stamp with a rose and green crayon, spritzed with water, and stamped! I LOVE LOVE this technique! No 2 flowers are the same and I love the watercolor effect!
Again I have to point out the sentiment......Meant to Be. I just love this sentiment!! I have to give the layout of sorts a shout out to my blogging friend, Silke Ledlow. She is a master of white on white, with pearls, scoring, and lately she's been using this border punch a lot! So you guessed it....I had to dig mine out and use it on this Silke inspired card! Please make sure to stop by her blog.....you won't be disappointed!
Well that's it from me today......be sure to check out the rest of the Wilson Designs DT posts and make sure to leave a comment along the way to be entered in for a chance to win this stamp set! Come back tomorrow for the full stamp set reveal!!

ReplyDeleteI really like the embossing folder in the first one and you are right the font is just so pretty. Water color crayons...forgot all about them!
ReplyDeleteYou are so good with elegant cards!! Both of these are fabulous!! Love how you kept the focus on the first one by keeping it simple but yet still having so many cute elements! LOVE the watercoloring on the 2nd one! I tried this a few months back but wasn't crazy about the results. You make me want to try it again! SOOOO pretty!

ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful. I especially like the colors on the first one. I am always saying I need to make something with turquoise and black. Definitely have to do that now.
ReplyDeleteAmy, you are the queen of elegance! What a fabulous reminder on the crayons! (well in a few months) The roses came out beautiful with that technique! I think you and I had turquoise on the brain! :-)
ReplyDeleteAmy, I like both of your cards. You hand-cut that little tag? It looks like a die-cut! Awesome job. ANd I love the frame from one set paired with the silhouettes from another. Your embossing folder is great, too. And thanks for giving us a link to Silke's blog. SHe does do amazing things, but then....so do you!
ReplyDeleteBOth of these cards are so beautiful, but you're right, the watercolor crayons on the rose stamp is to DIE for! I can't wait to see the whole set!
