I could not get over the striped hat on the penguin so RAINBOW stripes it was!!  The image was Copic colored and die cut using the coordinating dies.  White ink details were added with a pigment pen.  The striped hat inspired me to make this simple and add stripes for the background as well!  The rainbow strips were cut at 1/4" widths and added at an angle for something a bit different.  Once the image was adhered, the sentiment was selectively inked to split the sentiment on the angled strip of cardstock.  A few silver pearls were added as embellishments.

Reverse Confetti / October Blog Hop / SALE!

Amy_Oct_BlogHop2 (1)

Welcome to the Reverse Confetti October Blog Hop!  Make sure to check out the graphic below for the Fall Frenzy Sale going on NOW!

Go check out the Reverse Confetti blog for all the details of this hop and for a full list of inspiration and information.

I wanted to create a dramatic fall card using the Fall Flowers set.  While I do not mind coloring images, I love gold heat embossing.  The images were gold heat embossed onto Rust Cardstock and ink blended with Distress Inks with the last ink blend being Black Soot.  Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine was splattered over the card and a simple gold heat embossed sentiment strip was added with foam adhesive.  The card was finished with a few gold pearls as embellishments.

Avery Elle / Mr. and Mrs. Claus

Hello!
I'm here with a slimline card using the most adorable Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus

Creating backgrounds can be challenging for me when creating a "scene".  I thought it would be fun to change things up from an "ink blended background" to a striped background using paper strips!

Mr. and Mrs. Claus3

My card measures 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 and fits into a slimline envelope from the Paper Studio line from Hobby Lobby.  This stamp set was perfect for a large slimline card!  So back to the background and a fun technique.  Using two shades of blue cardstock, various widths of cardstock strips were cut.  These were adhered lightest to darkest onto a white notecard.  Over the striped background, a snow stencil from my stash was used with Broken China Distress Ink.  To keep the snowy detail going, Shimmer Spray was spritzed liberally over the card.  To finish the background, a snowy sentiment strip was die cut using the Slimline Borders Elle-ments.

All the images were Copic colored and die cut using the coordinating dies.  Creating the scene was so much fun with these images and the background I created!  Some images were adhered flat while others were adhered with foam adhesive.

Reverse Confetti / SYS Challenge: Thanksgiving/Friendship

I am here sharing a little card in celebration of FRIENDSHIP.
Whether it's thanking them, saying you "are the pick of the patch", or just to say hi......a card sent to a friend can be the best part of their day!

The background was ink blended with Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, and Barn Door Distress Oxide Inks.  A scrap piece of "grass" was added behind an Oval Window Cover Panel that was adhered using foam adhesive.  The adorable images from Pick of the Patch were Copic colored, die cut, and also added with foam adhesive.  The sentiment was stamped below in bold black ink.
