Essentials by Ellen Holiday 2016 Release Hop

Hello, and welcome to the Holiday 2016 Essentials by Ellen Release Hop! I’ll be showcasing several of the new stamp sets and dies on my post today!

And, yay!!! I also get to give away an Essentials by Ellen stamp set!  The winner may chose ANY  Essentials by Ellen brand stamp set  (Maximum value $25 USD) currently in stock at Ellen Hutson.com  To enter my giveaway, please leave a comment on today’s post  by Tuesday, October 25th!  You should have arrived on this blog hop from my crafty friend Stephanie Klauck.  CLICK HERE to go shopping!

My first card uses the new Antler Die.........I went totally CAS here pairing it with some plaid paper from Lawn Fawn.  I've die cut the antlers in black cardstock and added them behind a JOY die cut from the Holiday Words Dies, also a new release today!  To create my JOY sentiment, I cut a white and red JOY word and adhered them slightly shifted to the right and added them with foam adhesive.

My next card uses the new set called Light Parade by Brandi Kincaid (a new designer).  This is a darling drawn set!  As a kid, we would driving around on Christmas Eve with my grandparents and look at all the holiday lights.  It's such a special memory for me!  This set brings me back to that time!

I chose to work with the row of houses and Copic colored them.  For a background, I used the new Stitches Coverplate in my Big Shot onto some kraft cardstock.  My sentiment was stamped onto a die cut banner from My Favorite Things, added to my notecard and May Arts burlap twine was tied!

Beautiful cards, Amy!! I love the antlers on the plaid - such a great effect and so cozy!!! Your story about the second card hit home with me also because riding with my parents & siblings to check out the Christmas lights was always one of the best things we did at Christmas time. My husband and I haven't done that and I think we will have to do that this year. Such a neat thing to do that brings back fantastic memories years later!
