Today I’m excited to be designing with the New Paper Smooches die set, Foilage 1 Dies.  Even better is that I am amongst some of the most talented ladies for the entire month of July!!!  Thank you Kim for having me this month!

*********************************************

I pulled out my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors to create this greenish/mint watercolored background.  Using the Quote Tag Dies, I diecut a tag and then diecut the leaf die from Foilage 1 Dies out of the tag.  This way the watercolor shows through.  Onto my tag, I added a few droplets of color that matches my background....just to soften the white tag.

On a scrap piece of watercolor paper, I watercolored with a light aqua and then diecut the word die, Hello, from Hello Word Dies.  I also diecut a second "hello" out of dark gray cardstock and backed it to the aqua "hello" for a shadow effect.  The sentiment was added to a strip of vellum that was cut at an angle.  Dark gray twine and some Peridot Sequins (Pretty Pink Posh) were added as last details!

Blog Hop

That's all for day but be sure to keep following me in July as I will be posting more Paper Smooches!!!  Thanks so much for sharing a part of your day with me!

QCP for a quick card!

Hello!
Quick Card Panels from Reverse Confetti are just the perfect thing to have on hand for a quick card.  When I was browsing the challenge blogs, I came across the current CAS(E) sketch and thought it was absolutely PERFECT for using a QCP!!!

I've used a QCP from Let's Celebrate and trimmed it into 3 equal strips.....easy peasy!  There's the main part of the sketch already!!!  Using Let's Chill Confetti Cuts, I diecut one of the popsicles with orange cardstock and the handle with very thin cork.  Cork just gives a little bit of texture to a CAS card.  My sentiment from Let's Chill was stamped onto a vellum strip and adhered behind the popsicle.

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Flip Flops

I pulled out my Distress Markers for a quick watercolor "beach" look.  It's subtle here but in person it's just the right look I was going for!  I used Tumbled Glass and Vintage Photo Distress Markers.  After letting my background dry completely, I stamped my sentiment from Flip Flop Sentiment Stamps from Lil' Inker Designs using my Misti Tool.  Lastly, I added in some diecut Flip Flops from Lil' Inker Designs that were embellished with tiny flower sequins, Spring Flower Mix, from Pretty Pink Posh.

SSS--Color of Fun Release!

YOLO2

Did you happen to check out the newest release called The Color of Fun from Simon Says Stamp?  There are a ton of fun, new stamps, dies, and INKS available now!  To see the entire Color of Fun Release, click HERE.

I had some fun playing with Game Tile Letters and matching dies from the Color of Fun Release from Simon Says Stamp for a fun card playing off a texting acronym!  I added a white heat embossed sentiment from an older Simon Says Stamp set called Favorite Flowers and added some Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Faux Embossing with Lil' Inker Designs June Monthly Meetup Challenge!

Monthly Meetup2

Hi!  It's June 11 and we are ready for another Monthly Meetup Challenge over on the Lil' Inker Designs blog!  Go check out the Lil' Inker Designs store!!!

I am still in watercolor mode here so today's card uses the "Faux Embossing" technique with some added watercolor!  I began with a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor paper which I spritzed with lots of water.  Next, I began dropping Distress Ink colors randomly to create my own watercolor paper.  After letting this dry, I diecut my Perky Posies Dies from this watercolor panel.  The result are these fun colored flowers!  I've glued my flowers onto a trimmed piece of white cardstock and added a sentiment using the Hello die.
