Avery Elle / Stay Cool

Hello!
I am sharing a card that could be sent to anyone "just because".   The new sets from the release last week's Avery Elle release are so playful and fun!  Stay Cool is one of those sets!

Stay Cool

I began with ink blending an entire panel using Peacock Feathers, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, and Black Soot.  By adding in the shades of dark (Black Soot at the top and Forest Moss at the bottom), the colors are toned down for a masculine look.  Once done, I trimmed the panel in half and ink blended the edges for a finished look.  The panel was spritzed with water and Avery Elle Shimmer Spray.

The stars and cool dude on skates was colored with Copics, die cut, and added with foam adhesive.  A sentiment strip was added for my dude to "skate" on.  A little "whoosh" was stamped and die cut as a finishing detail.

Crafty Friends Blog Hop featuring Concord & 9th

Concord & 9th

Welcome!
It's time for the Crafty Friends Blog Hop!  We’re a group of amazing stampers that share similar paths…and we want to share our crafty projects with you!    We’ll be hopping each month featuring a specific company or brand…and this month is one of my favorites.........Concord & 9th

Check below for a code to use at Concord & 9th for TWO days only!!

Concord & 9th is known for their Turnabout Stamps.  I've used two of them for my cards.
Visit the Concord &9th website and choose videos to see how to use these stamps.

Flower Patch is one of my favorites.  After stamping the images in four different Lawn Fawn colors (I kept them soft and pretty), the panel was trimmed down and added to a white note card.  To soften the card for my bold die cut flower, I added a layer of vellum.  Hard to see in the photo but perfect in real life.  The sentiment strip was die cut and added with foam adhesive.

The next Turnabout I used is Everyday Bouquet.  This set is a part of the Everyday Bouquet Turnabout Toolkit.  This Turnabout is a mini version.  I chose bold bright colors and kept the sentiment simple by stamping it in the center of the square die cut from the matching die set.

SugarPea Designs / Buzzing By

Hello!
I am here sharing one of my favorite SugarPea Designs sets:  Hey Honey.  Everything about this set reminds me of summer!

SHOP for all your SugarPea Designs HERE!

Buzzing By

The main focal point was masked off 1" from the top and 1" from the bottom.  This left the middle section to ink blend Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Inks over the Honeycomb Stencil.  The ink was blended in randomly lighter and darker in spots.  Above the stenciling, a fine black line was drawn using a Precision Pen and then was scored for a bit of detail.

The bear, bees, and hearts were all stamped and die cut using the Hey Honey SugarCut.  Aren't the tiny hearts adorable?  They are tiny to die cut but so worth it!  After arranging placement of my images, I stamped the sentiment in lower right corner.  For dimension, all the bees were added with foam adhesive.  Some rosy cheeks and white pigment dots were added for those final details!

I have a THREE cards to share using the add-ons from this month's My Monthly Hero Release!

This first card was so fun to create!  The galaxy background was done by blending Blueprint Sketch, Mustard Seed, Black Soot, Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers, and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks.  To create all the stars, I spritzed water (let it dry) and then Shimmer Spray.  I created my moon by simply inking up a pencil eraser into some grey ink and "stamping" it onto a half circle die cut that was blended with grey ink.  I stamped, colored, and fussy cut out my planet and astronaut from the new set Galaxy Peek-a-Boo Parts.  My sentiment was white heat embossed and then my images were added with foam adhesive.

My second card uses the new set called Shine Bright.

Shine Bright

I ink blended Broken China Distress Ink over the top of a white cardstock panel.  Then, remember the Sun Background Stencil from last month's release?  I used it over the top of the "water" I was creating for this effect of light shining into the water from above.  I stamped and added my die cut dolphin image, from Shine Bright, along with a sentiment from the set.  Once done, the whole panel was spritzed with Shimmer Spray.

My last card uses yet more ink blending but from the side this time.  This card uses the new set called You're My Universe.

You're My Universe

After ink blending from the side, I stamped trail of stars in the same ink, Broken China Distress Ink.  This panel was then spritzed with Shimmer Spray.  I added my Copic colored, die cut moon along with some stars that were dipped in the Shimmer Spray as well.  A simple sentiment white heat embossed onto a black sentiment strip was trimmed at an angle and added to the card.

My second card uses the new Balloons Confetti Cuts along with a sentiment from Party Pals.
