Avery Elle / RAWR

Hello!
I am here today with a card that is is just Dino-Mite!  Do you find it difficult to put a background together for critter stamps?  I have one technique that is so easy and gives a wow to the background.....repeated stamped with emboss resist.

RAWR

I started with a white panel of card stock.  Using Versamark resist ink, I repeatedly stamped the bold 'RAWR' from the Rawr stamp set.  This panel was heat embossed with Avery Elle Pure White Embossing Powder.  Using Broken China, Shabby Shutters, and Peeled Paint Distress Inks to blend over the embossed panel, the panel was then buffed with a paper towel to remove any excess ink on the embossing.  This leaves a crisp white background!

Using a standard circle die, the circle was die cut from a trimmed white panel.  This created the perfect "sky" and "grass" (made from the embossed background) for my Copic colored dinosaur.  A white heat embossed sentiment strip was added to ground my dinosaur.  The stars (from Peek-A-Boo Fair) were stamped in black ink to tie in with the party hat.  The pierced clouds (from Cloud Mat Elle-ments) and dinosaur were adhered using foam adhesive.

Avery Elle / Peek-A-Boo Fair

Hello! I am here with a scene from my childhood!
I LOVED fair time when I was younger.  Bumper cars (and the ZIPPER ride) were my favorites!

I started making my background ink blending Scattered Straw, Spun Sugar, and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks.  Once done, this panel was die cut using the Hatch Mat Elle-ments.  Adding this just gives some interest to the background.  Plus, it reminds me of all the sparking above as the bumper cars sped across the floor!

PeekABoo Fair

I added two bumper cars, the unicorn from Peek-A-Boo Fair, and the panda from Peek-A-Boo Pals.  The cars were added with foam adhesive as well as the flags.  To add a little reality to the scene, the tiny spark stamp (from Peek-A-Boo Car) was added between the cars!  As a finishing touch, a sentiment was stamped onto a die cut speech bubble from Speech Bubble Elle-ments.

Avery Elle / Sunflowers

Hello!  I'm here with a bit of SUNSHINE for you.
Being from Kansas, the Sunflowers stamp set was my favorite from this last release.  The fields of sunflowers are truly gorgeous during the late summer.

The sunflowers were Copic colored with:
petals: Y15, Y19, Y35, Y38
centers:  E42, E44, E89
leaves: G24, G46, G94

All the sunflowers and leaves were die cut using the coordinating Sunflowers Elle-ments.  They were added to a backdrop that was done with the Invitation Frame Elle-ments.  I die cut the frame and left it intact except for the middle where I backed the opening with a light blue cardstock.  The sunflowers were arranged and adhered.  For my sentiment, I pulled out an older but favorite set of mine.......Rainbows.  I thought this sentiment was perfect and had the best font for this card.

Easter Wishes2
Hello!!
I have a card to share for the current Mix It Up Challenge from SugarPea Designs.

I played along with the challenge colors.......fresh and SPRING!  Scattered Straw, Twisted Citron, and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks were blended onto a panel of white cardstock.  Nothing fancy, trust me.  I added a die cut layer to soften the background using the Geometric Floral Coverplate done in white cardstock.  I added a die cut Easter word and a die cut bunny.

Reverse Confetti / April Blog Hop

Rainbow Hello2

Welcome to the Reverse Confetti APRIL Blog Hop!

Make sure to check out the Reverse Confetti blog for all the details of this hop and for a full list of inspiration and information.

Rainbows are everywhere.  You either love them or you don't.  I happen to love them!  So move along if you don't want to see happiness in your feed!

I decided to do a whole panel of die cut hearts from XOXO Hearts in all the fun Reverse Confetti cardstock colors:  Rose, Tangerine, Sunshine, Lime Green, Avocado, Iced Aqua, Navy Blue, and Royal Purple.  I added them to a panel of white cardstock and adhered.  After trimming the panel down on both sides, it was added to a white top folding note card.  For the sentiment, I kept it simple and used my FAVORITE 'Hello' die (sadly it's no longer available however any 'Hello' die would work!).

Reverse Confetti / Giving Thanks

Welcome SPRING!
I am here with a fresh spring card full of thanks during this season of kindness.

Giving Thanks

I wanted to create a wreath using the Fall For You stamp set.  I had fun coloring all the flowers in fresh bright colors!  I arranged them around the green wreath and then picked them up with Press 'n Seal to maintain my arrangement.

After die cutting the Double Stitch Window Panel out of Polar White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment in bold black ink below the window.  To create the look of ink blending, I simply added a panel of Mist cardstock behind the window.  I added the wreath with foam adhesive.  To complete the look, I added a tiny twine bow to my wreath.

I have a couple of cards to share using the add-ons from this month's My Monthly Hero Release!

My first card uses the Color Layering Joey stamp set.  This stamp works with several colors/shades of brown and is very easy to line up.  My card starts with a masked off sky line/grass line using Broken China and Twisted Citron Distress Inks.  I added a few stamped and die cut sprigs of grass along with my stamped Joey.  I stamped two sentiments in bold black ink for this CAS card.

My second card uses the Surf's Up Fancy Die Set.  This set is AMAZING!!!  You can add so many details with these dies!  I started with Navy cardstock and literally "lightened" it with white pigment ink and my finger.  I did the same for the layering part of the wave die done in teal cardstock.
Surfs Up

For my background, I wanted to create a pink/sunset type of sky.  Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks were blended in ombre fashion over a panel of white cardstock.  I stamped some birds and a sentiment from the Beach HeroScape stamp set.  I love the font in the sentiment from this set!  I added my wave to a 5/8" strip of navy cardstock onto my pink sky background.  As a final touch, I added a surfer girl and surfboard.

SugarPea Designs / Stuck on You

Hello!
I am here to share a gender neutral card with you.  We all know how hard these tend to be!  I recently went to Phoenix for Spring Break, before the COVID19 outbreak, but had to come home early due to all the closures from COVID19.  But being in Arizona, I was so inspired by all the succulents and cacti.

I love a clean and simple card and the Stuck on You stamps lend themself to just that.  They are bold solid images.  I used dye inks for my images in lots of colors.  My images were all die cut but the fun part was assembling the layout!  I have so many succulents to choose from for another card!

I added my succulents to the right over a black white heat embossed sentiment strip to ground my succulent grouping.  As one finishing detail, I got out a forgotten tool in my craft room...... the EK Success Paper Piercer and added two rows of piercing below my sentiment strip.

Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me!

Avery Elle / Sweet Swines

Hello!
I am here using Sweet Swines from Avery Elle which includes the adorable pig on a scooter!

I created this scene using the Cloud Mat Elle-ments.  I love the piercing details on every cloud.  You can choose to use the entire panel full of clouds but here I eliminated a few at the bottom.  I also decided to add foam adhesive to most of them for dimension along with the frame that was adhered over a Distress Ink blended background.

Sweet Swines

To ground my pig on a scooter, I simply added a white heat embossed black sentiment strip at the bottom to mimick a sidewalk.  To keep with the colorful scarf he's wearing, I added a Star Frame Elle-ments and stamped the tiny star stamps from Sweet Swines in all the little stars on the Star Frame.  Finally, I added my pig over the Star Frame and added a flag that says, "Yippee"!
