Hero Arts / Celebrating 45 years! / Giveaways!

Hello and Welcome!
I am so excited to be celebrating 45 years of Hero Arts!  It's their anniversary and they have released a new summer 2019 catalog.  It is full of stamps from the vault and some new ones too!

Hero Arts has been one of my favorite companies over the years.......since I starting stamping, Hero Arts wood mounted stamps were some of my firsts!!

I love the Seas the Day Seagulls stamps and I've paired them with the Wave & Sea Confetti Die.

I ink blended a white panel with blue ink and die cut with the Wave & Sea Confetti Die letting some of the pieces fall out.  I wanted the scattered look to the die for a sky and adhered this panel to a white note card.  I Copic colored the images and die cut using the Seas the Day Seagulls Dies.  I hand cut a piece of kraft cardstock for my "beach" and added "sand" with Copics E44, E43, and a white pigment pen.  My images were added with foam adhesive and a sentiment was stamped in the lower right corner of my beach.

Avery Elle / Summer 2019 Release Blog Hop

Hello!  It's time for the Summer 2019 stamp release from Avery Elle!  I can hardly wait as this has got to be one of the BEST releases yet!  Summer is undeniably my favorite season!

All products are available for purchase in the Avery Elle store right now.  You can check them all out HERE.

I can hardly stand the cutness of the newest additions to the lineup of Peek-a-Boo's from Heather Campbell.  I've used the Peek-a-Boo Scary critters paired with this adorable car accessory for the critters called Peek-A-Boo Car.

I started building my scene using the Grand Photo Mat Dies.  After die cutting, the pieces were ink blended with Distress Inks and pieced back into the photo mat.  Several layers of clouds were die cut and layered back into place for dimension.  My critters and car were all Copic colored and die cut with coordinating dies.  Lots of white pigment pen accents were added along with a balloon and string.  For the sentiment, the clouds were the perfect place to stamp the 'happy birthday'!

SugarPea Designs / Mix It Up Challenge #55

Bee Yourself2

Hello!
Quick card share for the current Mix It Up Challenge over at SugarPea Designs.  I love this month's challenge!  Gave me a chance to use the new Hey Honey goodies from the last release!

For my main white panel, I blended Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink over the upper right portion of the panel.  I spritzed the panel liberally and blotted with a paper towel.  This panel and black layer panel was die cut using the Card Front Element Builder Dies.  I added a portion of the Honeycomb Cover Plate, added some bees (stamped with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink), and a sentiment.  For some shine, I added prisma glitter to the bees wings!

Lil' Inker Designs / May Release Day 3 / Giveaway / SALE

Amy_ThinkHappyThoughts

Welcome to the last day of inspiration using the newest Lil' Inker Designs amazing summer products!  What have you thought so far?  I hope you have snagged some of your favorites!

I have one last card to share using the Think Happy Thoughts Tropical.

I white heat embossed the solid leaf images randomly and then ink blended Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron Distress Inks over the top using the Emboss Resist technique.  Once done, I wiped the panel with a dry paper towel to really make the images pop.  A simple stamped sentiment in black on a strip of kraft cardstock was added across the card.  To finish, I had to add a fun tropical drink in a coconut shell!!

Hello Bluebird / Born to Sparkle

Born to Sparkle

Hello!
Quick card share using an adorable unicorn set from Hello Bluebird called Unicorn Tales.

I started a panel by blending Twisted Citron and Peacock Feather Distress Inks.  Over the top using a stencil, I ink blended these same color but a bit darker.  I added some die cut clouds using the Sunshine Scene Die to the bottom of my panel.

The adorable unicorn was loosely Copic colored with BG23, BG11, R00, N1 and touches of a silver gel pen.  After die cutting, the unicorn was added using foam adhesive.  To the clouds, a sentiment was stamped that coordinated with the 'Sparkle' die cut from the Magical Sparkle Words Die (done in silver glitter paper).  To finish, a few die cut stars (from silver glitter paper) were added.

Technique Tuesday / May Release Blog Hop

Sending Roses

Welcome to the May Technique Tuesday Blog Hop and Release!
This release has something for everyone.  So make sure to visit the entire hop!

I have a card to share using the Sending Roses stamp from the Greenhouse Society Collection.  I black heat embossed the rose image onto Bristol Smooth Cardstock.  Using various Distress Inks, the rose was colored in.  This is such a quick and easy way to add color!  For interest, I added black splatters of acrylic matte paint.

After die cutting, I added my rose image to a panel of polka dot vellum.  This was then added to a black front note card.  To finish the card, a few black gems were added for a touch of sparkle.

Lil' Inker Designs / May Release Day 2 / Giveaway

Amy_Pineapple

Welcome to Day 2 of the Lil' Inker Designs May Release!
This release is FULL of amazing dies and stamps for spring/summer......are you ready?  Guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

Oh my, are today's cards juicy and fun!  haha!  The Pineapple Shaker Die Set is so much fun!  I haven't even scratched the surface of ideas for this set!

Creating a clean and simple card is so easy with this set.  For my first card, the pineapple was die cut from cardstock and pieced together.  I love that the die set comes with the pineapple detail piece for the body.  Makes it so realistic!  I went a step further and added yellow gems to all the "holes" in the pineapple.

I adhered my pineapple to a note card that was die cut using the Quilted Stitched Pattern Die (my FAVORITE cover up die!!!).  My sentiment is from the new Hawaiian Words Die Set.  It was die cut out of black cardstock and the outline was die cut out of white cardstock.  It was adhered to the center of my pineapple with a small bit of foam adhesive to the center so it would curve a bit downward.

For my second card, I went with a striped note card done with 1/4 inch strips of white and green cardstock.  I added a vertical (which is a fun twist) sentiment (from a New sentiment set that coordinates is called Be Sweet Stamps) stamped onto a trimmed banner.

The pineapple itself was die cut and pieced together as in the first card.  I added a twine bow and a few yellow gems for some shine!

Lil' Inker Designs / May Release Day 1 / Giveaway

Amy_ButterflyCoverUp

Welcome to Day 1 of the Lil' Inker Designs May Release!
This release is FULL of amazing dies and stamps for spring/summer......are you ready?  Guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

Let's start this release off with an AMAZING new Butterfly Cover Up Die.  This die can make super quick and simple cards!

I chose to use it for inlaid die cutting.  I die cut the butterfly/frame out of black cardstock and then chose 4 colors of blue to die cut layers of pieces which were all inlaid back into the design.  For the outside of the butterfly, a piece of pale yellow gingham pattern paper was die cut and inlaid for the background.  A simple coordinating cardstock strip was stamped with a sentiment from Spread Your Wings.  To finish, the whole card was spritzed with Sparkle Shimmer Spray from Imagine Crafts.  (very hard to photograph)

My second card uses the Spread Your Wings stamps.  Using the back of the stamp, I stamped them in red, orange, light orange, and yellow inks onto a square piece of cardstock.  The stamp was turned over and the butterfly was stamped over the top in bold black ink.

This panel was added to a note card that was scored 4 times, every 1/4" from the top and bottom.  The stamped panel was added to the center with foam adhesive.  A simple black white heat embossed sentiment strip was adhered to the center.  Small flat clear sequins were added to the butterfly bodies for some shine!
