Welcome to Day 2 of the Stamp of Approval The Perfect Reason Collection Blog Hop! I am thrilled to finally get to create with one of Catherine's boxes. There's a little story behind that statement but that's for another time. :)
If this is your first time hearing about Stamp of Approval, this is an exclusive collection designed especially for this particular box. The stamps and dies in the Stamp of Approval Collections are brand new on the market and won’t be released for individual sale for several months. Want a chance to win one of these boxes? Be sure to comment on every participating post on all three days of the blog hop!
The core of this box is the The Perfect Reason stamps and dies. I LOVE them.....a unique, floral set that is sure to see lots of love from me! I had so much fun mixing and matching the flowers with all the gorgeous Catherine Pooler Premium Dye Inks! These inks stamp BEAUTIFULLY the first time with no need to use my Misti! The key......light taps on the foam ink pad will give you lots of ink and coverage.
For my first card, I've done generational stamping where I've actually stamped off the bulk of the ink on scratch paper and then without inking, stamped the image again giving the look of a new lighter shade of color. A fun technique that is perfectly done with these inks! My background was done using the new Mod Squared Stencil with Something Borrowed ink. My florals were layered over Perfect Vine die cuts done in thick vellum that was sponged with Lime Rickey ink. The sentiment stamped in the center of the large bloom is from another new set from the collection called You Did It!
************************************
My second card uses the new You Did It stamp set along with Everyday Mod. I used the long diamond background stamp with more generational stamping to give a softer look to the inks. This stamp was a breeze to line up with each additional color of ink! To finish the edge, I simply hand trimmed out the edge along the stamping. This panel was stamped with the large "Congrats" from You Did It and then added to a top folding notecard with foam adhesive. Another sentiment from You Did It was stamped in the lower right corner. This will be a perfect card for many occasions!
Be sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way.
The more you comment, the better your chances of winning! Make sure to check out Day 1 and Day 3 Hop Lists which will be posted on Catherine's blog so be sure to start there! One winner will be chosen at random from each day's comments and announced on February 9th on Catherine's blog. The winners will win their box and if you happen to win but have already purchased the collection, you will be refunded!
Be sure to get on the Wait List for a first chance to purchase this amazing collection as these collections sell out quickly! Not only do you get a box FULL of amazing stamps and dies, but you’ll get a downloadable PDF Project Guide with tons of projects and tutorials! Don't forget release day is February 8 at 9am EST!!
