Coffee anyone?

Fusion

Hello!  I am sharing a card made with the new coffee themed stamps from Right at Home's Cup of Joe release.  The images and sentiments are just fantastic!  I am a recent coffee addict so I am so excited to make coffee cards and send them out to friends!

I went with the current challenge over at Fusion Card Challenge for some color and design inspiration.  I love how a challenge can get you headed in the right direction!  This is a pretty basic design following the sketch but I did paper piece the coffee cozy with pattern paper from the Happiness collection by Simple Stories.

Layered Sketches

FreshlyMadeSketches2

Hello!  I have a few posts today as we were without internet yesterday a good portion of the day.  Thankfully, it was nothing WE did but rather something AT&T had done at the main box in the neighborhood and was an easy fix on their part.

I haven't played around much lately with challenges but when I came across the new sketch this week over at Freshly Made Sketches, I knew I had to play!  This sketch challenge has rules to keep your card clean lined and fresh.  What I liked about this sketch were the layers, where you could take this in any sort of direction.

I used lots of Reverse Confetti products for my layered card......pattern papers from True Love, Butterfly Dreams, and new inks from the last release.  I stamped the largest solid butterfly with Piggy Bank, Flamingo, and Stone Reverse Confetti dye inks and used the coordinating Confetti Cuts to die cut.  I added the sketch elements using a few papers from the True Love 6x6 paper pad.  My sentiment/die is from the You're So stamp set.

Impressed Dies

Favorite Person2

Hello!  I have a quick CAS card to share using some Avery Elle products.  I've paired the previously released die called Geek Love with the adorable Love Puffin.   That stitched heart though!!!  ♥♥♥
The Geek Love die was impressed into my white notecard because this die has stitching on the outside of the heart.  (Use the sandwich with your Big Shot that you use for an embossing folder.  My sandwich.....clear plate, die, paper, rubber mat, clear plate).  Then I added a traditional red die cut heart and layered it over the impressed heart on my notecard.  I love this fun little detail!  My sentiment from Favorite Person was white heat embossed onto the red heart.  My Love Puffins were added with foam adhesive and some mini die cut hearts were added in shades of pink and red from the Geek Love die set.

Stretch Your Dies--Make a Coverplate!

Stitched Hearts

I'm here with a Valentine made with just Sugar Cuts dies from SugarPea Designs.  I love stitched dies and the trio of hearts in the Heart Journal Card are no exception since they have stitching around the “outside” of the hearts!
I wanted to create my own “cover plate” with this trio of hearts so that I would end up with a total stitched heart background.  This was so easy to do since the die is rectangle…….I lined up my die to the edge of my paper and attached with Washi tape.  After die cutting and before removing the die, I drew a very light pencil line down the long side of the die.  This makes for perfect placement for the rest of the panel.  I did this for the whole panel and adhered small white stripes of paper to the top/bottom.  After adding foam adhesive to the back of my newly created stitched heart panel, I added it to a top folding notecard with purple pattern paper.  You know all those hearts that were die cut out?  I re-adhered some back into the hearts for a fun touch.  To finish my card, I added a black die cut “love” to a vellum flag from Stitched Flags.

Love Balloons with Avery Elle!

Letter Balloon Dies

Hello!  Just stopping in with a card that was shared over on the Avery Elle blog yesterday (I'm a little behind).  It uses these fabulous Letter Balloon Elle-ments dies.
I've die cut them with some DCWV silver glitter cardstock......some of the best IMHO.  They were layered with foam adhesive onto die cut hearts from Scalloped and Pierced Heart Elle-ments dies.  This was all layered onto neutral pattern paper from the Neutral Pattern Paper Collection.

SFYTT with Reverse Confetti

SFYTT2

Hello!  I am here sharing a card using the current SFYTT (Sketch For You to Try) over at the Reverse Confetti blog.  Check out the SFYTT post......HERE for all the details!

I've used the new Foodie Fun from the latest release for the current Sketch for You to Try (SFYTT).  I stamped the pear stamp with Lime Green premium dye ink from Reverse Confetti several times using my Mini Misti and then ran a darker ink from my stash around the outside of the stamp for a darker effect.  I layered my pears onto a Lacy Scallop Frame Confetti Cuts done in white.  A sentiment from Crazy About You was white heat embossed onto a black banner die from Greetings Frame Confetti Cuts.  My focal point was adhered with foam adhesive to a top folding notecard layered with paper from the True Love 6x6 paper pad.

Brushed Hugs is a large bold script sentiment with tons of suppporting sentiments in the set.  I decided to white heat emboss the "Hugs" on vellum and hand trim out.  I love how elegant this script is!  I layered it over some neutral polka dot paper and added, with foam adhesive, one of the supporting sentiments white heat embossed onto black cardstock.  To embellish, I added some clear sequins.

Fresh Cut Poppies2

My next card uses my favorite set of this release.......Fresh Cut Poppies.  If you love multi-step stamping and florals............this set is for you!  For all three of my poppies, I started with my lightest color of ink and my Misti, working my way to the darkest layer.  I did the same process with the leaves and stems.  Did I mention how EASY it is to line up the layers to stamp?  They ARE so easy and makes stamping a card like this a breeze!  I added my sentiment (pieced from Brushed Hugs) by white heat embossing it onto a thick strip of black cardstock and adhering with foam adhesive.  More clear sequins in several sizes were added as finishing touches.
