the power of pattern paper

The Card Concept

Hello!  I have a card to share that was made for the current challenge over at The Card Concept.  Look at this amazing chevron pumpkin......how could you not be inspired?

I totally ran with the power of the chevron in the way of pattern paper.  This woodgrain chevron paper was the perfect "rustic" look I was wanting from this photo.  Otherwise, I used the colors on my pumpkin and leaves from the Pumpkin Patch from Reverse Confetti.  I added my pumpkin to a light blue pattern paper that was adhered with a Lacy Scallop Frame Confetti Cuts.  A burlap twine bow and sparkling clear sequins were the final touches!

Pretty Pink Posh and Altenew Collaboration Blog Hop

AltenewCollab

Hello!  I'm excited to be joining the rest of the Pretty Pink Posh DT and Altenew for a Collaboration Blog Hop!

I worked with the Sketched Evergreen stamp set from Altenew and paired it with some Pretty Pink Posh products.

I've stamped my Evergreen tree in Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, and Evergreen Altenew Crisp Inks.  I can't say enough good things about these inks!  They are so PERFECT for layering stamps like this one!  This stamp set is gorgeous with its details like the tree stand stamps!  I love the bold sentiments included (however I didn't choose to use one on this card).

I added a gold glittered bow die from the Twine and Bows Dies from Pretty Pink Posh.  I embellished my tree with 4mm Metallic Gold Sequins and added my stamped sentiment with foam adhesive.

Lil' Inker Designs Release: Day 3

Amy_FilledChristmasTree_BrushScript2

Welcome to Day 3 of the Lil' Inker Designs October Release!  This release is FULL of amazing dies and stamps for this holiday season.......are you ready?  You should have arrived from Karen Baker's blog.   Guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!  But first.....don't forget to comment along the way for a HUGE prize this month........see details below!

I am sharing quite possibly my FAVORITE script word dies EVER!  They are the Brush Script Christmas Word Dies.  The set comes with "Wish", "Believe", and "Hope".  Just beautiful!

I started my card with blending in some Evergreen Bough Distress Ink onto a white panel.  I added 3 white heat embossed Filled Christmas Tree Stamps onto vellum.  The best thing about these tree stamps?  You actually get SIX trees in one stamp set!  Since the trees are "broke" up in the middle, the smaller tree in the Dual Stitched Christmas Tree Dies fits perfectly to the "tops" of the bigger tree!  Here I've used all three "tops" of the trees!  My die cut Wish sentiment was done in thick silver glitter cardstock from Recollections at Michaels.  I've also added a strip of this glitter cardstock down the side to tie all the elements together.  As a final touch, some Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added for shine!

My second card uses the 'Tis the Season stamp set which is a follow-up to one released last year called Oh Deer Christmas stamp set.  I've Copic colored my image and added a rounded mat made with the Border Builders Dies in red cardstock.  A simple layout that looks classy and very easy to mail!

Merriest

Hello!  I wanted to share a card that I have up over on the Avery Elle blog today.  It's an easy one......CAS and easy to mail!

I started by stamping my sentiments from Merriest stamp set with my Mini Misti and tested out how I wanted them to stamp.   When ready, I stamped them onto a white panel and trimmed down.  I used the Dotted Die Elle-ments for the border on the gingham paper.  To give some attention to my sentiment panel, I die cut the largest Postage Stamp Elle-ments in coordinating blue paper and adhered it in the center of the gingham paper with foam adhesive.   A few little snowflakes were stamped with pigment ink and clear stickles added randomly!

Lil' Inker Designs Release: Day 2

Amy_RusticChristmas

Welcome to Day 2 of the Lil' Inker Designs October Release!  This release is FULL of amazing dies and stamps for this holiday season.......are you ready?  You should have arrived from Lisa Henke's blog.   Guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!  But first.....don't forget to comment along the way for a HUGE prize this month........see details below!

For my card today, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to do with the Rustic Christmas set when it arrived!  I started with a black trimmed panel where all the tiny images from this set were stamped randomly in Versamark ink and white heat embossed.  I adhered this panel with foam adhesive to a white notecard that had a strip of Buffalo Plaid pattern paper down the left side.  As a final touch, I added red Stickles to the holly berries and randomly around my panel.

So sorry........

Sorry Blog

Hello again!  I have a card to share using the adorable Friendly Fox stamp set from Right at Home Stamps.  I am having so much fun creating these 4x4 cards using these sets!
I thought it would be fun to use the punny sentiment in this set for a "sorry" card.  Let's face it.......we all make mistakes and to have a card on hand that says sorry?  That is awesome!

I did some Distress Ink blending for a background (Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutters) and used a scallop circle frame die (from Pretty Pink Posh) to cut out where my critters would go.   I added my white frame and mounted this inked panel with foam adhesive.  I then inset my circle cutout back into the scene and stamped some grass with the cute grass stamp.  I added my Copic colored critters (porcupine and bee) with foam adhesive to the scene.  A few clouds, from Banner Alphabet Add-On, were stamped and hand trimmed.  To finish, I stamped the punny sentiment around the circle curving the stamp as needed.

Lil' Inker Designs Release: Day 1

Amy_Baubled_MerryChristmasWordDie

Welcome to Day 1 of the Lil' Inker Designs October Release!  This release is FULL of amazing dies and stamps for this holiday season.......are you ready?  You should have arrived from Joy Taylor's blog.   Guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

I wanted to share this awesome new die called Baubled Christmas Wreath.  There are SO many ways you can use this!  I did a bit of watercolor........starting with a die cut wreath, I placed it on my cardstock and adhered lightly using it as a mask.  This die just screamed to use retro colors........using various Distress Inks, I watercolored all the insides of the circles and let dry.  After they were dry, I used a shimmer watercolor to paint over the top of them.  It gives such a gorgeous sheen!  (I did the same technique with the new Merry Christmas Word Die)  Once everything was dry, I removed my "mask" and adhered a black Baubled Christmas Wreath.  My sentiment was adhered over the wreath.  My wreath panel was die cut using the Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangles and mounted with foam adhesive to a white notecard.

Next up, I have a "punny" card to share using the new Moody Santa stamps.  You can make him angry Santa, happy Santa, grumpy Santa......man are these so cute!  I created a little winter wonderland scene using the Speech Bubble Die Set and the Border Builders Die Set.  My background was made using the Quilted Stitched Pattern Die....one of my all-time FAVORITES!!!  I stamped a sentiment from the new set, All the Christmas You'll Ever Need 2, onto the speech bubble.  I colored my Santa with Copics and adhered with foam adhesive.
