Oh what fun!

Hello!  I have a card to share that is also up on the Avery Elle Blog using the newly released Oh What Fun stamp set.  Such an adorable mini set and it has coordinating dies!

I had this card envisioned as soon as I saw the graphics for this set.  I began with an OLD embossing folder from my stash that reminds me of a chimney and embossed some kraft cardstock.  I trimmed this down and added it to a white panel that was cut with the Double Pierced Rectangles Dies.  My santa was diecut with the coordinating Elle-ments die from Oh What Fun and colored with Copics.  I also added some stamped, colored, and diecut snowflakes from Oh What Fun as well.  For my sentiment, I opted to go with the bold "joy" from the Peace, Love, Joy Elle-ments die set that was diecut 4 times and glued together for dimension.

Thanks tag

Tag You're It!2

Hi everyone!  I had some time to play around with the current Tag You're It! Challenge.  The tag for inspiration comes from Jeanne Jachna......I loved the fall colors and the gold accents she used!  I also paired this up with the current ColourQ challenge for the colors!

I started out watercoloring with Scattered Straw Distress Ink and diecut my tag using the Reverse Confetti.........Thanks Tag.  Reverse Confetti has many tag dies but this one is one of my favorites!  I also watercolored some leaves from the new Leafy Confetti Cuts and the THANKS sentiment from the Thanks Tag Confetti Cuts.  The addition of the "so very much" is from the Fancy Word Coordinates.......I LOVE this set and reach for it all the time.  Gold sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh in 4mm, 6mm, and 10mm.

One little diecut.......

Celebrating Teacher by Amy K.4

Hi everyone!  I wanted to share a card that I had up on the Taylored Expressions blog last week.  It is no secret that I love dies and diecutting.

I decided to focus on this tiny apple die from the Little Bits: Fruit set.  Yeah, I may have been a little crazy to diecut and piece together so many apples but I think the results were SO worth it!

Check out the Taylored Expressions blog post HERE for all the details on the "how-to" and more photos of my project!

Beautiful Bow for Avery Elle

Hello!  It's been crazy busy....working more hours and kids activities makes for less crafty time!  I'm going to have to fix that!

I have a card to share that is also up on the Avery Elle Blog using the newly released Beautiful Bow stamp set.  This set is super versatile and can be used year-round!  I love the sentiments that are included and that font??  Love!

I've used some "old" embossing powder from my stash.......black glitter.  I had to angle my card just right for this to show up for the photo.  By using this embossing powder, there was no need to add any other embellishment!  I did add some detail using the Double Pierced Rectangle Dies around the perimeter.  I layered my glittery bow onto a panel that was diecut using the Sweet Scallops Elle-ments.

Happy Holidays Shaker for Avery Elle

Hi everyone!  I'm sharing a project that you can also find over at the Avery Elle blog using the new Snow Globe stamps and coordinating dies!

With this stamp set, there are many small elements that you can use to make your own sweet snow globe.  Here I've used the trees, mini snowman, and the holly.  My shaker was filled with coarse Martha Stewart Glitter.  Looks just like snow!  Once I had everything assembled for my shaker, I decided to attach it to a gift bag.  Love how this dresses up this "plain" kraft gift bag!!!

Lil' Inker Designs September Monthly Meetup Challenge!

AmyMonthlyMeetup2

Hi!  It's September and we are ready for another Monthly Meetup Challenge over on the Lil' Inker Designs blog!  Go check out the Lil' Inker Designs store!!!

We thought it would be fun to throw a little fall COLOR inspiration at you this month!  In the graphic above, my card (on the LEFT) uses the Cover Up: Leaf Pattern Die as a stencil.  I wanted to use this idea again but with softer colors.  By using your Cover Up Dies this way, you get way more mileage from them!

I diecut the Cover Up: Leaf Pattern Die and layered it over a panel of white cardstock.  Next, I sponged some Avery Elle Silver Fox pigment ink working darker at the lower left corner and lighter to the top left,  This panel was diecut using the Stitched Mats: Rectangles.

My flowers, from Awesome Blossom Stamp set and matching dies, were stamped using some fall colors of ink from Avery Elle.  These were arranged onto a Stitched Mats: Circles and trimmed to line up with the side.  My sentiment is from the All About Ampersand stamp set and was adhered with foam tape. I get tired of using brown for fall colors so I brought out the dark grey for my whole panel to layer onto.  Lastly, I added various sizes of Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Monsters and snow?

Monsters2

Hello!  I'm sharing some cards for my first official post for the Avery Elle blog!  If you have NOT checked out the new Fall release that happened last week.......what are you waiting for??  Go check it all out HERE.
Avery Elle
My first card uses this ADORABLE set called Monsters and of course it has matching dies!  This set was designed by my VERY talented friend, Heather Campbell.  What this set offers is versatility!  There are elements to make it a fall and elements to make it a birthday card!

Since Halloween is coming up next month, I used Monsters for a cute Halloween card.  To create my card, I used the Wonky Stitches Die (LOVE!) on both my layers.  The purple pattern paper is from the Jewel Collection Pattern Paper.  I stamped and diecut all my images which were colored with Copics.  To add some shading to my white panel, I sponged some Silver Fox Ink over the bottom edge and added my little diecut images with some foam adhesive.

Dashing2

My second card uses this small 3x4 stamp set called Dashing.  This image totally takes me back to when I first saw National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation in the theaters WHEN I WAS A KID.  Yes, I'm telling my age!  haha  I thought it would be cute to make the card driving through the snow like in the movie!

To make my card, I used the Sweet Scallops Elle-ments to diecut my "frame" for my shaker of "snow".  For my "hills", I've used the new Snow Caps Elle-ments.  My sentiment was stanped on the inside of my shaker before I added all that snowy glitter from Martha Stewart.  My car/tree image was colored all with Copics and added to the top of my shaker element.
