Inspired by......

Hello!  I don't know about you but I find inspiration everywhere.  Sometimes I snap a photo or jot a note down to remember.  Sometimes I forget.  I created this card using inspiration from a shirt I saw online but I can't remember where!  It was of a modern pineapple using bold black.  Here's my version.

I stamped the pineapples from Pineapple Panache stamps by Lil' Inker Designs using bold black Versafine ink.  I recreated the pineapple I remembered seeing on that shirt and stamped it to create my own pattern paper.  A simple sentiment embellishment was stamped and white heat embossed onto black cardstock.  A few strips of silver glitter cardstock were added underneath my sentiment.  Lastly, a few silver sequins were added from Pretty Pink Posh.

Did you hear that a new Lil' Inker Designs release is right around the corner?  There are some fun new stamps and dies!!!

New Challenge and a card!

PinterestInspiredChallenge2

Hello!  It's been awhile since I've searched for new challenges to play along with.  This is an awesome way to find inspiration for the starting point of a card.  I happened upon the new Pinterest Inspired Challenge last week with this lovely inspiration photo.

I just couldn't get this inspiration photo out of my head.  I totally ran with the colors and the look of pattern paper.  I recreated this look with Reverse Confetti's Petals 'N Posies stamp set and coordinating Confetti cuts.

I stamped and diecut all my flowers and leaves.  After arranging them randomly, I adhered them to a white piece of cardstock.  I used a curved die to round the bottom edge.......love this look.  For the love of clear stamps.......I curved my sentiment (from Petals 'N Posies) onto my block to be able to stamp it along the curved edge of my panel.  The last detail was to stamp some of the flower "centers" in bold black and add a few Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Amazing friend......

August23

HI everyone!  I am back to share another card as a guest for Butterfly Reflections Ink blog this month!  Have you checked Vanessa's shop out yet?  She has the newest WPlus9 and MFT goodies in her shop!  Her customer service is unbelievable and her shipping times are record fast!  I love ordering and getting my goodies in just DAYS!

I started planning out my card using this FABULOUS die from Avery Elle called Burst Die.  It is a MUST HAVE in your die stash!  Seriously.....how awesome are the diecut lines??

When I have all my Distress Inks out and am ready to make some backgrounds, I make several so that I can have some on hand for later projects.  This panel was made using Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink and was used to diecut this amazing Burst Die from Avery Elle.  From this diecut Burst Die panel, I diecut a smaller inside circle using a standard circle die so I could make this a shaker card.  I assembled my shaker onto a 4x4 top folding card and added flat silver sequins (circles and stars from Pretty Pink Posh).  My sentiment was diecut using another watercolor panel made with Abandoned Coral Distress Ink using the Simply Said Amazing Die from Avery Elle.  I added a tiny white heat embossed "friend" sentiment (from the Peonies stamp set by Avery Elle) onto black cardstock and added it with foam adhesive.

Remember the Reverse Confetti post from the other day?  Well.........drum roll, I have a winner of a Love and Ice Cream stamp set from Reverse Confetti!  I had so much fun reading everyone's favorite ice cream flavors!!!  Thanks Diane and I need to visit you!!!

Diane Jaquay
Love this card, Amy! My favorite ice cream is peanut butter ripple, which is vanilla ice cream with chunks of yummy peanut butter swirled througout. I think this might be a regional thing here where I live because when I lived in other parts of the country I could never find it, only peanut butter chocolate. I love the peanut butter chocolate too, but if you've never tasted it in vanilla ice cream come visit and I'll hook ya up :)

Reverse Confetti Sale, a BIRTHDAY, and a WINNER!!!

Birthday Sale2

Hello!  I have a card to share as part of the Reverse Confetti Sale!!!  It was my sweet friend, Jen del Muro's BIRTHDAY yesterday (and also the owner of Reverse Confetti)!!!  I had the pleasure of visiting with Jen yesterday on the phone.....let's just say.....it's been too long!  I will sip a margarita alongside you this weekend like we did last summer!  Happy happy birthday!!!

Now, for the SALE!!!  This is the best sale of the year........20% off your entire purchase!  Wahoo!!!  You can now get those things on your RC wish list!

My card uses a hodge podge of things from my Reverse Confetti arsenal.  I went with the current CAS(E) this Sketch! for this one.  Love this sketch!

I started by stamping the strips from So Stripey in bold black ink across my card panel.  Using the Fancy Words Confetti Cuts for my focal point, I built the rest of the embellishments around that.  I used the Oh My Stars Confetti Cuts and cut out some gold glitter cardstock.  I attached my glitter star border with my Tiny Attacher.  The sentiment is from one of my favorite and VERSATILE sets.......Fancy Word Coordinates.

TIP:  I didn't have any gold glitter cardstock.......so I made my own!  I heat embossed gold glitter embossing powder by Zing onto cardstock.  Boom.

Birthday Sale

*******I have a very important name to mention as the winner of my Essentials by Ellen Blog Hop post last week:  JANET.  I have emailed you......please contact me!

Lil' Inker Designs BIRTHDAY, August Monthly Meetup Challenge, and a SALE!

AmyMM2

Hi!  It's August 11 and we are ready for another Monthly Meetup Challenge over on the Lil' Inker Designs blog!  Go check out the Lil' Inker Designs store!!!  But this is a SPECIAL monthly meetup because we are also celebrating Lil' Inker Designs BIRTHDAY!!!!

What better to celebrate a birthday than with BALLOONS!  Specifically new Balloon Greetings and Balloon Greetings dies!!!  Woot!  This new set and dies is now available in the shop and there just may be a little sale happening too!  (See below)

I've done many balloon cards with Lil' Inker Designs before but I wanted to create one where the balloons were floating into the clouds.  To do this, I've used the Border Builders Die Set to create my clouds.  Before adhering my 2 layers of clouds, I've sponged some light blue pigment ink onto my white top folding card.  Next, I've stamped and diecut my balloons, from the new Birthday Balloons Greetings stamp and coordinating Birthday Balloons Greeting dies, using various colors of pigment inks for a soft look.  After adhering all the balloons to my cloud scene, I added some wood veneer stars and 4mm sparkling clear sequins (Pretty Pink Posh).

You are my Sunshine...

August9

HI everyone!  I am excited to share that I am guesting for Butterfly Reflections Ink blog this month!  I think until a few months ago, I lived under a rock.  I tell myself now......why did I wait so long to order from Vanessa?  Her customer service is unbelievable and her shipping times are record fast!  I love ordering and getting my goodies in just DAYS!  The other part?  She has current products!!!

Neat & Tangled released this adorable stamp called My Sunshine recently.  It spoke to my heart for many reasons but one thing is that handwritten sentiment in Danielle's handwriting.  It's fabulous.  Yep.....you can purchase it at Butterfly Reflections Ink!

I started planning out my layout and loved the little "ray" stamp in this set.  I wanted to use this to "frame" a shaker element on this card.  I used a standard small circle die to cut the circle in my cardstock.  Using this as a guide, I stamped my rays around this circle.  The way this sentiment was designed is perfect for placing the sentiment by my shaker element!  My sentiment was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink using my Misti.  I assembled my shaker card using various yellow sequins.  I added the last part of my sentiment (white heat embossed on black) to the lower corner and added a few extra sequins.
