Hello everyone!  Today is a day I look forward to every month (other than release night).......the PTI Blog Hop!!!  I am going to keep this fairly short as there were sooo many wonderful entries last month and I want you to hop on your way to visit as many as you can!!

This month's challenge:

This month we decided to dedicate the Blog Hop to scallops!  We want to see your best use of scallops, of any sort, on a project!  This can include scalloped borders, offset-scallops, stamped scallops,  scalloped mats, scalloped frames, layered scallops, scalloped tags or anything else you can dream up! You can use dies, patterned scissors or even circle punches in a row to achieve your special look.

My card:

My scallops include the Doily Details Die, Medium Scallop die, and the scalloped wings of the butterfly from Love Lives Here stamp set.  I am beginning to have fun layering with all these dies now that I have my doily dies!!!  LOVE them!  :)

My fun color combo comes to you from Heather's new challenge:  Totally Hues.  Take a peek at these yummy colors!

It all started with........

It all started with THIS card by Lindsay.  I loved her use of argyle and the layout.  I needed a masculine Birthday card.

My card:

I didn't want to totally CASE her card.......so I changed it up with a different focal point shape and sentiment.

So from there, I made more of them.  :)

This time I paired up the fantastic sketch from Card Patterns this week with the new Make it Monday challenge from PTI:  Glittered strips with Scor-tape.  I sure hope the person receiving this card, likes it! :)

Here's the sketch:

I'll be back later in the week with the others I made!

My card uses the colors from this week's CR84FN challenge.......beautiful spring colors!

Curtain Call Act {69}

On Sunday I JUST needed to work on my kid's Valentines and make my daughter's friend Valentines but when I saw this week's Curtain Call inspiration photo/colors, I just HAD to make one more Valentine!  Besides, Laurie, one of my best stamping friends is the Guest Designer this month.

I am having a lot of fun mixing and matching different elements and layers.....not sure if it's vintagy or not but I like it!  This one uses Heart Prints stamped in 2 different red inks.......Pure Poppy and Ruby Red (SU).

I used my Top Note die for the center piece and it was made using the letterpress technique and Dark Chocolate ink.  (My friend Laurie does this all the time with the IP's from PTI)  I think the hardest part of this challenge was to use both vanilla and white so I layered my red piece on white cardstock and added a white seam binding bow with a white stick pin.  You don't know how much I wanted to use more of my distress inks on these!  :)

This past week has been soo busy with releases for WD and then the PTI Anniversary week with challenges galore, I may step back and slow down but we'll see!  Have a great day!

Valentine Treats!

Hope you all are having a wonderful Valentine's Day!  Mine was spent so far going between 2 school parties but it was enjoyable!  I wanted to share my daughter's Valentines that we made yesterday.  Now I can't take credit for these as I found the idea for them on Maureen Merritt's blog here.  Ours didn't turn out professional because as much as I wanted to help Payton do these, she did all the stamping, the glueing on of the hearts, and the die-cuting.  It was so much fun to hear her say, "I can't believe I get to use your Big Machine."  (Big Shot)  :)  Anyway, here they are with all their ink smudges and double stamped sentiments!  Thanks to Maureen for posting her adorable project!

If you have a Top Note die, some pattern paper, heart punch, scor-tape, hole punch, and some ribbon/twine.....YOU can make these super quick!  We added in some mini Kit Kat bars......they fit perfectly.

I forgot to take a picture of the backs but they are stamped with the To: and From: that is included with the Tiny Treats stamp set.  She wrote her name on all of them and she kept saying, "There are so many!"  :)
I wouldn't give up this moment for anything!  Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

When I started off making my kids mini Valentine's yesterday, it was just that......their Valentine's.  Well, I liked the design so much, that I decided to make a couple more!  So sit back and enjoy (there are several photos)!!
My kids' valentines:

I started with the Spiral Notebook Page die from PTI and die cut a folded piece of white cardstock.  When it comes out of the die, it looks like this!  Too cute!  I pulled out my Tiny Treats Valentine for my images.

A teacher card:

And finally a card for the DeNami Button Challenge and the Product Challenge:  Twine!  Ok, who doesn't like twine?  And seriously, this is the best twine out there.  Period.

And lastly, a photo of all these tiny notebook cards in a row.  Ahh....so sweet!

This week's challenge over at Wee Memories is Live, Laugh, Love......so I thought I'd send these in for their challenge!

That's all for this post but I'll be back with another one or two later today!  Gotta get those Valentines posted!
